Holiday Ordering

As COVID-19 continues to cause logistical difficulties around the world, it is more important than ever to submit your holiday orders as early as possible, especially if the order will be shipped outside the U.S.

To ensure that you get the Japan-made goods your customers want in time for the holiday season, we recommend that orders of less than $2,000 be placed by the end of September to allow for lead times and possible shipping delays. In addition, we ask that any holiday orders valued at $2,000 or more be placed by the end of August.

Both recommendations are in place to help us gauge holiday demand and secure adequate stock of our most popular items before supply lines become clogged with end-of-year orders. Although you may still place orders throughout the fall, it will become increasingly difficult to fulfill those orders in time for the holidays as we move through October and into November.

In general, plan for lead times of 2-3 weeks for in-stock items and 6-8 weeks for out-of-stock products. Available stock will be sent out on a first-come, first-served basis, and we can only confirm inventory and lead times once an order is submitted via our online portal, not by email or phone. Note also that due to the traditional production techniques behind many of our products, availability may be limited. (This is especially true of items in our Gato Wood Works collection.)

Please be aware that we unfortunately cannot add to orders once they have been placed, though you can still cancel all or part of an order. Any additional items will need to be ordered separately at our standard minimums, so be sure to make your list and check it twice before that initial submission. This will help ensure that all customers have access to accurate stock counts and are served in chronological order.
